Children’s Dental Checkups & Cleanings
From a young age and often due to their diets and lifestyles, children are more likely to develop cavities. This is why we recommend six-month dental checkups and cleanings. Our talented team will use a gentle touch when examining your child’s smile as well as cleaning their teeth to remove any remnants of plaque and tartar. During these visits, we’ll also share some helpful tips you can use at home to ensure good oral hygiene habits so that their smile remains healthy year-round.
Dental Sealants
The chewing surfaces of a child’s molars and premolars are primary targets for bacteria and food particles to attack. Since proper brushing habits are still being refined during early childhood, these teeth can often be neglected, resulting in dental decay. With dental sealants, we can cover these surfaces and protect them against cavities. We’ll apply clear coatings so that a protective barrier stands between your child’s tooth enamel and any plaque and tartar that may try to form.
Silver Diamine Fluoride
If your child has a cavity but is not ready for a tooth-colored filling, we can apply silver diamine fluoride (SDF) to stop the decay from spreading to other teeth. This minimally invasive solution uses silver to kill existing bacteria, while the fluoride prevents additional decay and encourages remineralization of the tooth enamel. As a pain-free solution for children, it is highly effective and quick to apply.

Lip & Tongue-Tie Treatment/ Frenectomies
Lip and tongue-ties are not uncommon among infants and young children. These restricted bands of tissues located behind the upper lip and underneath the tongue, however, can pose problems with nursing, breathing, speaking, and oral health. To address this problem, we can use our Sirona soft tissue laser to perform a frenectomy, which involves gently releasing the banded tissue so that the lip and/or tongue no longer remain tethered but can enjoy greater movement.
